Yes, we do accept women into our care late in their pregnancy as long as they have been receiving prenatal care and are having a low-risk pregnancy. We have the mother fill out a medical release form and we fax it to her prior health care provider’s office in order to request her records. It is not uncommon for a woman to decide late in her pregnancy that she no longer wants to give birth in the hospital.
